RESOURCES

The intent of this page is to have a complete directory of resources which I used in the compilation of the Zork Compendium which have not been made widely available to the public. With an exception of the the PDF versions of the Zork novels, all material here was scanned by myself and/or compiled by myself and this website was the first to make these documents available for download. I spent much effort hunting down/creating the documents available here.

TEXT EXTRACTED AND ORGANIZED FROM ZORK GAMES (mostly complete)
Using decompilers, I have been able to extract all of the text from the text games. I have hastily organized all of the text into their respective locations. Unfortunately as the decompilation is not perfect, this still requires that I try to figure out how to make each fragment of text be called up in the game. Many times there was text which I could not figure out how to make appear in the game. I may update these lists again on a future date. If you know where any of the uncertain text (usually marked by (?) appear, please let me know). I have removed much default and technical text from these files (such as "Open Door: The door is already open.") and retained statements directly essential to the game. I also included some nonsensical information from the invisiclues and have denoted it as nonsense.
