FRIGID RIVER, WESTLANDS

The Frigid River of the Westlands is not to be confused with that in the Eastlands, of which was named in homage of the first sometime after Pseudo-Duncanthrax landed on Eastland soil in 666 GUE. This western river begins high in the Northlands and widens considerably as it flows southward, then turns southeast to flow by Egreth Castle (the former capital of Quendor) and flows into the Great Sea. Even before reaching the southeastern bend, the river loses its silver color, turning instead a muddy brown as its current gathered momentum and its swift waters cut away at the containing banks and churned its silt bottom. White caplets dance on its surface.
