NUMBER 23

This grizzled but tough old man with craggly hair and beard, was missing teeth on the left side of his mouth during the days when he was one of the many imprisoned by Pseudo-Duncanthrax as an oarsman for his navy in the mid-seventh century GUE. While his true name is unknown, he was given the name "Number 23" by Captain Chulig while aboard the bireme known as the Screaming Queen. For a short time, he was benchmate to Caspar Wartsworth (Number 22). It is almost certain that he meet his death when the bireme was sunk by an infatuated sea serpent who mistook the life-like prow for a mate.
