Need to sharpen your sword? Or perhaps your lantern ran out of fuel? Well come on in, drink some rye and let Jack sharpen your blade and fill that lantern!
Is there ANY way I can open the ani's on the Zork CD's? I'm talking Nemesis and GI here. Or even the normal images (looking around imgs). It would be a great help to my site (and if Z: THE uses flashbacks for some strange reason, it would come in handy for that too).
Meanwhile, I'm pissed off by compression: Hmmmm. That is an angry Hmmmm.

the DVD version of ZGI has movies that can be played in any DVD software player and ripped to the hdd using something like the above ripper tutorial I created. And yes higher resolution lol.
To open the avi you need the Truemotion v1 codec for what ever video program you like it works for both games.
If you have linux Mandrake 10.0 that comes with the codec already installed
do you mean the AVI from Nemesis or from GI? In fact I just d/led and burned MDK10 to CDs the last couple of nights. I like to see how MDK comes along with each release.
The Nemesis and ZGI avi's are encoded with the same decoder they are just in slightly diffrent resolutions.
MDK10 has improved a lot on the last release
btw to view the files in mdk10 use mplayer
once the video has played through if you try to replay it the graphics are messed up also the sound codec for the avi's is not included so you will just hear white noise
btw do you know what audio codec they used i guess it something to do with QSOund
Well, I loaded up MDK10 and am in it right now, theres no codec installed called TrueMotion. It cannot load the files and says 'video stream not found'.
i looked in my mplayer it seems it doesnt have the codec so it must be packed into another codec just accosiate the files to mplayer and tell it to open with mplayer it should work
