No it wasn't already posted, nor was this other one which is most likely VERY old too, but aren't most riddles?

Only one color, but not one size;
stuck to the ground, yet easily flies.
Present in sun, but not in rain;
doing no harm, and feeling no pain.
What is it?

I was thinking clouds...but the not in rain didn't work. It could be light, but it causes skin cancer, so not doing no harm. I have no idea. Dust?

Could it possibly be a stone?  They can get covered with mud during rain and hidden from view.  Or maybe a shadow, but I don't know how that would work.

Hmm...Reaver, even though he said he didn't know how it would work...and I did...

All shadows are black, but there are different sizes,
They're on the ground, but a bird can have one, (?)
They show in the light, but not in the dark,
they can't hurt you and you can't hurt them.
