Something about Grues

Post by DrPaul »

Well, this is just a little trivia thing about grues.

I was at the movies tonight.  I went to see the French romantic comedy Hors de Prix (Priceless).
During the credits, I noticed one of the listings was for Grues.  I didn't remember any Grues in the movie, so I figured, may "grues" means something in French.  So when I got home, I looked it up, and sure enough, grues is a French word and it means cranes.

Ok.  Not a big deal, but I figured every Zork fan should know this.  So now you know.

In French, "une grue" means also a prostitute, because of the bird who waits.
