Splinter Cell 4

If you must talk about something that isn't about grue slaying, adventuring or even drinking some of that tasty rye, then do it here.

I'm just finishing up Chaos Theory (for the third time) in preparation of this event.  Long Live Sam Fisher.

SC3 was pretty good, did you play any Co-Op? I played GRAW recently and am playing that again but this time on Hard. MP for that game is also very good. Would like to play it Co-Op.

Not gotten around to GRAW yet.  I've heard bad things about it for the PC.  Is it worth playing?  I was a huge fan of GR and the expansions.

Haven't done any MP in Splinter Cell (I think I tried it in PT once).  I enjoyed the single-player storylines.  Never been much of an MPer (outside of World of Warcraft).

I think GRAW is great, very challenging and graphics are nice. My friend borrowed it from me and he cannot see why it got such a low score. Gameplay is great, sound effects are good, you have to go for cover and it has good squad action, I don't know, I really liked it. I miss the original Ghost Recon... I'd recommend then you d/l the demo and try it, but I genuinely enjoyed the game and I'd highly recommend it, in many ways it is much better than the older games. I own it for the PC and although its a high end game requiring more power if you want to enjoy it fully, the XBox360 version is more like an action shooter, gameplay is quite different, using 3rd person for example and less squad based employment.

Rainbow Six: Las Vegas should be really good too.

Finally got the GRAW demo.  Yeah, this one's worth owning, it's on the list.  Thanks for the advice, DA.

Nope, it isn't out on the PC yet... soon enough, soon enough. I have been playing through GRAW on Hardcore with my buddy the last few days.

The game keeps getting pushed back so I am no longer interested in SC4, I will wait till it drops in price. I am interested in Guildwars:Nightfall however, but the Nintendo Revolution will be out soon and thats a HUGE expense so I am going to spend the money on that.

Yeah, I'm getting tired of the push-backs as well.  And it's so bloody expensive.

I've read reviews from the xbox version, sounds similar to Chaos Theory in SP mode, which is the only mode I play anyway.  But if it's as good as CT, I'll probably jump on it as soon as it's available for PC.

Well talked to my friend some more after he sent me some new info. on the game, basically the Xbox/PS2 version appear to be quite different than the XBox360 version, so we shall see just what the PC version is comprised of. I mainly want the CO-OP.

The SC4 demo, for me, wants a higher spec machine than I can provide.  It runs like molasses flowing up the slopes of Mt. Everest.  Not buying this game anytime soon.

Strange, SC3 runs just fine.  Sure, in SC4 I can count the hairs on the back of Fisher's hand, but what's the point?  Game devs need to concentrate on content, not pretty pictures.

Long live the archaic, sub-standard graphics and text of the Zork games, which are full of imaginative content and fun!

I played the demo of SC4 and it ran fine but the game itself was buggy. It plays just the first 3 games. I am not sure what they did to make it slower than the rest except ad HDR(I believe). My friend bought it but couldn't play it, he's got a new laptop so he's gonna try it on that. I'll post results here.

Whoops didn't post results... ran slow on his laptop, but was playable. Played fine for me but the game itself wasn't very good. If you wasted money on Double Agent, I feel for you.
