UNCLE ZAMUncle was a magical patriotic symbol who took no guff. While many recruiters of the Great Underground Empire had tried to ply people with tricks, treats and booze, Zam was content to follow people around pointing at them. Some had suggested of him that a poster would work just as well.
The earliest known appearance of Uncle Zam was on a certain Filfre Day during the Great Monster Uprising.
