Troll-Tech implemented industrial strength magic in their Anti-Theft System 710 (formerly the Frobozz Magic Alarm 709). This system was installed in the Steppinxthrax Monastery Museum sometime prior to 949 GUE. This magical system allowed the handling of museum objects, but prohibited more than one to be handled at a time; and all objects not returned voluntarily were automatically confiscated and returned to the proper placehold.
