Hembiz was a robust, chuckling fourth century man, easily recognizable as the so-called King of the Marketplace. Through carefully created and maintained connections, Hembiz had gradually come to control all business that went on from day to day in Mareilon’s sprawling open-air market, from the countless legitimate food vendors to the clandestine groups of teenage pickpockets that also made a living in the area.

In 398 GUE, Zarfil was able to persuade Hembiz to join his rebellion. Though Hembiz marched with Zarfil and the other leaders in the initial rally at Beeblebrox Square on 12 Oracle, history has been silent on his fate beyond that date.
