G.U.E.
Festival of Small Ships
On the official first day of summer, thousands gather at the Borphee
Harbor for the G.U.E. Festival of Small Ships. Throughout the day,
hundreds of these floating antiques drop their mini-anchors in the
water and send off rockets, flairs and fireworks to herald their safe
arrival. Only those spectators 4 feet 5 inches and under are allowed to
board the ships. Admission is free so those who wish to attend are
advised to come early in order to beat the crowds.
