Re: Splinter Cell 4
The SC4 demo, for me, wants a higher spec machine than I can provide. It runs like molasses flowing up the slopes of Mt. Everest. Not buying this game anytime soon. Strange, SC3 runs just fine. Sure, in SC4 I can count the hairs on the back of Fisher's hand, but what's the point? Game devs need ...

Re: The forgotten sequel
Thanks DrPaul. I've never considered this seriously, but I suppose we could put together a pretty decent text adventure. I'm not adverse to the idea. I gave a sizeable portion of my life to coding and playing a MUD in the early 90s and loved it thoroughly. My main problem now is time. As an ind...

Re: Do you like Counter Strike?
This is an absolute riot. I love the lost-connection part. Can't count how many times that's happened to me. And the hostages getting stuck on the wall. How many times have we all had to go back in and get the damn hostages to go through the blessed door. LOL! This clip it truly a masterpiece f...

Re: The forgotten sequel
I want to visit the ZN world in full 3D. I want to learn more about the relationship between General Kaine and his son. I want to know more about the conquests of Duncanthrax the Bellicose and I want to learn about the tactics used to secure Irondune. I want to know where the General came up with...

Re: Splinter Cell 4
Yeah, I'm getting tired of the push-backs as well. And it's so bloody expensive.
I've read reviews from the xbox version, sounds similar to Chaos Theory in SP mode, which is the only mode I play anyway. But if it's as good as CT, I'll probably jump on it as soon as it's available for PC.

Eni Oken (ZGI artist) Page
Extremely cool site by one of the ZGI artists. He explains some of the scenes from a design perspective:

Re: Downtime...
That's good. That's the thing about Zork, too---goes on vacations once in awhile but always seems to find its way home.
I've finally learned to stop uninstalling the Zork games from my computer.

Re: Splinter Cell 4
Finally got the GRAW demo. Yeah, this one's worth owning, it's on the list. Thanks for the advice, DA.

I probably don't speak for everyone, but we appreciate the work you do on the webpage. Â This is the only place I can really talk about Zork and have others who appreciate the series as much, if not more so, than I do. I don't think it is said enough, so Thanks. You definitely speak for me. Much a...

Re: ZGI cigar box logo
I read somewhere that "the banners of Frobozz Electric" were a reference to Steppinthrax Monastery (since the FE building is supposedly the monastery itself). So last night I visited the monastery in ZN but couldn't find anything that seemed related to this symbol. I like the "GI&quo...

Re: Splinter Cell 4
Not gotten around to GRAW yet. I've heard bad things about it for the PC. Is it worth playing? I was a huge fan of GR and the expansions. Haven't done any MP in Splinter Cell (I think I tried it in PT once). I enjoyed the single-player storylines. Never been much of an MPer (outside of World of...

Re: ZGI cigar box logo
Yes, that is how I took the other caps. But "print screen" doesn't work on the video.
I'm thinking it might be a screw also, a symbol I could imagine Yannick using to "lock down" magic.
I'm still doing some CSI on other areas of the game. We'll get to the bottom of this yet.

I'm just finishing up Chaos Theory (for the third time) in preparation of this event. Long Live Sam Fisher.
