I put your story on my Palm Pilot and read it in bed.

I was quite impressed with your writing skills.  The story seems to have a pretty dark mood, like Nemesis did.  

I'm always a little conflicted on that point because  I usually expect a little humor in Zork games or stories.  But on the other hand, it's nice to have a kind of dark, more dramatic Zork story once in a while.

I totally agree with you DrPaul, there should definietly be humour in Zork - to me, thats half of the appeal. I'm right now considering two ideas -  either keeping the mood the way it is for THIS story and writing a comedy later, or trying to wedge in some comedy for this one. On the other hand, The Coming of the Storm certainely isn't going to be as dark as Nemesis - think RTZ if anything.
