Grand Inquisitor backstory transcription
I have transcribed the full 17 page, 8,518 word Z:GI backstory from the strategy guide. For now it's up on my Livejournal as I don't have a website. It can be found here;
http://www.livejournal.com/users/siriusstar/44971.html
If there's any interest (and no one tells me it isn't allowed) I'll transcribe some of the character info and history, too.

Re: Grand Inquisitor backstory transcription
Good job. I was actually planning on doing this a long time ago, I started on the history, but I never got around to finishing it.
Re: Grand Inquisitor backstory transcription
Nice story.
To me, the nmost notable break from the game was that the Brog in the backstory did not seem to be as cute and lovable as the one in the game and his fate with the totomizer was completely different. The other characters were right on.

Re: Grand Inquisitor backstory transcription
I'm glad you all found it interesting/useful!
Here is the 6 page chapter on the magic in Z:GI and the characters' magical associations.

It seems that there was more interaction planned with the totems then ended up in the game itself; perhaps even the ability to ask them all questions about things. Considering the cost of keeping the actors around longer, I can see why that was cut down, though.

Re: Grand Inquisitor backstory transcription
Thanks for posting this. It certainly does seem that more interaction with the totems was originally intended.
Have you looked at this site?
http://www.gue-network.com/pages/activi ... i_info.htm
Click on the Beta link near the top of the page and it describes many more features that were originally planned for the game but didn't make it to the final release.
The most notable being that The Great Underground Underground was originally designed with one more station. and I think I heard something about there being more to that pile of rubble in the Monistary station .
