So a massive rewrite of your site only to possible abandon it less than a year later?
Why not be like a lot of libraries and ask for donations?
I see you say it's not about the money, well you're not going to be doing much updating, only because there isn't much NEW Zork information.

Re: The New Message Board
What's with all the linking books, this is Zork not Myst. Seriously though, before any of that, are there any changes to the content? A lot of the content seemed, well, pointless: 1033GUE and 1034GUE as examples. I think you should think about what content you're going to keep/add/remove and then ho...

Re: The New Message Board
Because it looks incredibly dated. Ugh, it's like Microsoft Bob all over again. If you're going to go that route (and I don't think you should) you might as well use Flash. You just hate everything, don't you? In this case, all Flash would do is take something simple and make it heavier, slower and...

Re: The New Message Board
Also, why do you need a site redesign in the first place? Because it looks incredibly dated. Another question: If I send someone a private message, will they be alerted via their email that they have a message waiting? Yes. DAT sent me a test message and I was notified in the email that I have with...

Re: Zork fanart
Here's my midterm for my lighting class last quarter. Taken from: Kitchen You are in the kitchen of a white house. A table seems to have been used recently for the preparation of food. A passage leads to the west and a dark staircase can be seen leading upward. A dark chimney leads down and to t...

Re: The Hidden Evil?
Hey I still exist! I've been mostly at the OverClocked Remix boards, and school, myself. I did hear about a fan based sequel to The 7th Guest / The 11th Hour http://www.t7g3.com . Their's seems pretty ambitious, and also seems to be coming along. Maybe they could help in showing us how to get our...
Re: Wow...
The true test of that software would be if The 11th Hour runs on it. That game would even give problems to machines natively running DOS

Re: Zork News from ActiVision
Whatever Acitivision can do to make the most money with the least amount of effort is what will happen. Of course, that could also mean nothing at all, since they might feel they'd lose money in the venture. Look at LucasArts, both Full Throttle 2 and Sam and Max 2 were cancelled. Why? Because it'...

Re: ZGI under XP
Well I just tested my (CD) copy of ZGI under Windows XP Professional. I tried both the minimum (50MB) and maximum (125MB) installations and both worked fine. So if you're running the exact OS itself is not the problem. Maybe the disk is damaged so it's not copying corectly (test your CD on someon...

Re: ZGI Issues
One of two things would be causing this. Either you're not casting in the right spot, or there's no water. To see if you're casting in the right spot go to where the 8 armed invisible bridge guy is and go forward again (the screen will be still, you won't be able to pan). That's where you have to ...

Re: Not as pissed as before, but still really piss
You're so mad that Activision didn't make a new Zork game that you want to make one yourself? Hm....why didn't the rest of us think of this...
