Zork II Endgame bug?

Hello Felow Zorkian Adventurers,

I was enjoying my way thru Zork II when a strange thing happened in the endgame. I entered the last command to go thru the secret door, pressed return and... the "press control C to return to your computer" screen came up?????? It seems like the endgame text did not load. How am I ever going to get to Zork III??? I restored the game several times with the same results. I am playing a copy of Zork II from the Masterpieces of Infocom CD inVM Fusion/ Win98.

Has anyone encountered this glitch?? Has anyone found a way around it?
