Forum newbie but not Zork Newbie

Post by Aussie_Zork_Fan »

hello there, it's great to finally find a site dedicated to the Zork games.

i am a huge fan of the Zork games and it's a shame that another official Zork won't be released. I recently found ZGI and RTZ CDs at home and started to play them.

I have only played RTZ and ZGI and only own those two games. My mother is also a fan and I have been searching for ZN for ages. It's too old to sell in stores!

Anyway, hello all and will post again soon.

Nice to have a new name on the board! In my humble yet very important opinion, Nemesis is my favorite adventure game of ALL time. So... you are sorely missing out, buy it from Ebay, borrow a copy from a friend, I don't know what to tell you except you will be glad you played it. :-}

Welcome to the boards!

As DataAngel said, your best bet for ZN is probably going to be online.  Wherever you get it, it is worth it.  Also, if you can find a copy of them, in my opinion the original text adventures are a great amount of fun.  Zork I is my favorite game of the series, and I started playing Zork when RTZ came out.

Yes, I know it's a good game, i have played it at a friend's house in Sydney. I love it, too. Just recently downloaded 1, 2 and 3 and dosbox for RTZ. runs at a much better speed now! (On my laptop, it ran waytoo fast).

Anyway, I am working on a pen-and-paper system for Zork RPGing. It will use a spilt-up spell system from ZGI (ie. using six schools with their own simple spells.) if anyone is interested in working on it, my email address is daniel.merrifield@gmail.com, just put [Zork RPG] in the subject.
