Re: Nemisis problems
I think there was a battle at Iron Dune but you just didn't see the soldiers, cos you hear laughing outside when the battle is won.
About the conservatory, then somehow you must have been semi-transported back in time when you put that poster on the board. Dunno how . But it's Zork we're talking about, everything can happen.
In the asylum they seemed quite keen to cut people's body parts. I guess Mr. Head was one of those 'lucky' ones. The lady there was completely mad, cos she thinks she's Dr. Sartorius.
Basically Frobozz, don't think about it. Zork's suppose to be comicsh (lol, new word). If you think about all the laws of nature and common sense the game has violated the whole serie would seem stupid.
Take for example Dimwit's law to make people pay 97% taxes (or something like that) and then the descion to make it 100%. This makes NO sense at all what so-ever, cos with that kind of taxes, there would be no Great Underground Empire at all. But you're suppose to laugh at it, not analyse it.
JUST PLAY THE FREAKING GAME! lol.

Re: Nemisis problems
thanks for the help, and sorry for the stupid questions
Re: Nemisis problems
they aren't stupid, they are valid, but with games you just can't over analize them.

Re: Nemisis problems
In the Asylum, was Mr. Head an example of CGI or was he a live actor?

Re: Nemisis problems
He was a rendered 3D figure except when he was talking. Then he was a live actor (from the neck up.) Which brings up another question. Why did Mr. Head look nothing like his normal self when he was talking? It was really messed up.
Re: Nemisis problems
yeah well thats just a GOOD example WHY NOT to use FMV. ;-} I figure we should use CG, but not have them animated or if we do make it simple, since we have to DRAW the clothes on them.

Re: Nemisis problems
I don't see how that's a reason why not to use FMV. If anything the reason it looked different was because the person doing the CG didn't do a good job...so there!
Re: Nemisis problems
um and WE (you) could do better? I DOUBT it.
Re: Nemisis problems
You haven't seen the CGI that Transfans can do. They look VERY realistic, and that is including CGI Transformers actually capable of transforming.

Re: Nemisis problems
lol. Yet another example of Thread Evolution Theory. It started out as a discussion about inaccuracies in Zork Nemesis and now we're talking about what kinda graphic we want in ZTHE .

It is nice to see that a thread that I made became so popular.
