Help With SubTitles Z-Grand Inq

GREAT Forum!!So glad I found some other like minded people who love Zork!

I need a little help, I am running Zork Grand Inquisitor on my Win XP machine everything is installed and playing fine except I don't seem to have any subtitles...and I am sure when I originally played the game years ago it had subs?

Is there a way to turn them on or a patch?

I have the DVD version

I'm not at my computer that has ZGI on it currently, but I thought that subtitles were something you could turn on in the preferences in ZGI.
